All heating and air conditioning equipment in each Pierce home is
designed by a mechanical engineer. The engineer takes the following factors into
consideration to determine which system should be installed to provide the homeowner with
a comfortable and efficient air conditioning and heating system:
1. Orientation of the windows
in relation to the solar path at different seasons.
2. Size and type of windows to
determine heat loss and gain of each room.
3. Cubic feet and square feet
of each room to determine the heating and cooling load and air flow to each room.
4. Correct sizing of the ducts
to insure adequate air supply to each room.
5. Amount and placement of
insulation scheduled for the walls and ceiling in each room.
6. Multiple units are installed
to provide flexibility in the regulation of temperature.
7. Many return air grills are
placed throughout the home to provide for effective air handling and to provide the most
efficient system for the homeowner. |
