The HVAC ducting system in any centrally heated and air-conditioned home plays a vital role in determining the air quality and energy efficiency of the home.  All the ducts in Pierce Energy Efficient homes are double sealed with special mastic during installation.



Particular attention is directed to sealing with mastic, all possible air leaks in the ducting/furnace air handling systems.  This is the major contributing factor to a clean and healthy indoor air quality as well as a major contributor to the energy efficiency of the home.



Again, the majority of this effort is not visible to the home buyer as the sealing is "covered up" with insulation and sheetrock. However the Pierce home buyer can be assured that the sealing has been throughly and completely performed, which is further confirmed by :"duct blaster" testing each HVAC zone when the home is completed.
