Foam insulation is used in the walls of all Pierce EFL  homes. Using this more expensive product, each home has a continuous thermal insulating barrier around the exterior perimeter of the home. It is also used in selected interior walls to provide sound isolation between rooms.

Foam insulation is also used in the rim joist area of each Pierce EFL home, providing superior air sealing and insulation in this area that is very difficult to handle using conventional insulating products.

Foam insulation is also used in all cathedral ceilings in Pierce EFL homes, again providing superior air sealing and insulation compared with conventional insulating products.
